He continued: “A lot of really good ideas were vetted out [at those meetings] and materialised through those conversations. And it’s like [there has been] a step back in that direction to do those type of things and have that kind of conversation.

“We talked about fuel financial savings … like how can we come to a place the place we like what we see all of the time. Right? Fuel financial savings and fuel mileage, that is going to be half of races. Fuel’s going to be the dialog at occasions. All varieties of tracks, it is not simply Daytona, Talladega.

“But I think we’ve got an epidemic that we need to look at and say, ‘Hey, we might not be able to get rid of it entirely, but how can we get back to feeling like we see the guys out there racing?’ And so, there’s got to be some way to figure out a solution, and that’s what those conversations are about.”
