Kelley Earnhart Miller shared why she had a “tough time” when Dale Earnhardt Sr. was alive.

“When you are a younger 20-something-year-old, and you do not have the completely different experiences that I believe are so important, you realize, you need to be uncovered to issues in an effort to get these experiences.”

What’s more, she noted that because the elder Earnhardt would bring business matters home, she was able to continually learn from him and build business acumen as she grew older, even after his death.

“We discovered from him and the way in which that he carried himself and the way in which that he did issues and the business and all that,” she continued, “he and I bought to be taught that sitting on the other facet of the desk at Sports Image, you realize, as an instance as a result of I used to be, you realize, concerned in being an account supervisor for some of his sponsors.

“And so he was [on] the opposite side of the table, putting the pressure on us on, what their expectations were and things like that and how to live up to those expectations. So, I feel like I had a really good foundation of business and things to learn and do.”

Despite studying from her father, Kelley Earnhardt Miller admitted she had by no means labored for Dale Earnhardt and prompt a advanced household dynamic was the trigger. “I think a little bit, but I think that it had more to do with Teresa than anything, to be quite honest. “So we had a good life, you realize, once we had a roof over our heads and all that sort of factor. It’s simply that within the household with Dad and Teresa, it simply wasn’t very household loving, you realize, scenario.”
