Elon Musk’s mind implant company Neuralink raised $600 million in a deal that values the company at $9 billion earlier than the new money, Semafor reported Tuesday, citing people with data of the matter.
Neuralink didn’t instantly reply to a Reuters request for remark.
The startup was estimated to be valued at $5 billion in 2023, based mostly on privately executed stock trades described to Reuters. The company had beforehand raised $280 million in a funding spherical led by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund.

In April, Bloomberg News reported that the company was planning to raise about $500 million.
Neuralink is within the course of of testing its implant, which is meant to help people with spinal twine accidents.
