That’s how LA’s prime prosecutor, Bill Essayli, describes three India-based transnational crime syndicates now within the crosshairs of the formidable US authorities.

The feds led a collection of raids this week spanning the United States, Canada and Europe, nabbing 24 alleged gangsters –– together with 11 in California. 

It was a large bust: In California alone, brokers served 34 search warrants: 23 within the Sacramento area and 11 round LA.

Prosecutors say the thugs used California as a money register for the sordid international operation –– and amassed hundreds of thousands of {dollars} from extortion schemes, theft and gun- and drug-trafficking.

The gangs, two of which have been reportedly run by kingpins imprisoned in India, have been barbaric, prosecutors say, with different alleged actions together with homicide, assault, kidnapping and maiming.

These are some big-time dangerous hombres, and good for the feds –– and the native law enforcement businesses that assisted –– for taking them on.

It’s one other effective exhibiting by the Trump crew, which has fought main crime with care, vigor and resolve.

In latest weeks, they charged 25 people with drug trafficking close to LA’s decrepit MacArthur Park; indicted 43 alleged members and associates of the deadly Mexican Mafia; and repeatedly cracked down on health-care fraud towards US taxpayers –– together with a latest takedown of an alleged $267 million hospice fraud ring in Los Angeles.

It’s good to see a lot motion, focus and progress on making certain penalties for many who flout the law, victimize others and abuse the public trust.

The collection of federal wins demonstrates the distinction concerted investigation, prosecution and proficiency could make.

California, tormented by years of entrenched crime and fraud, has a long approach to go. 

But it’s a higher, safer place every time law enforcement sweeps criminals off the streets.

Perhaps the gangs you’ve by no means heard of will now reside in infamy –– or, at the very least, within the bowels of a US jail.
