Former NASCAR driver’s brother shares tribute | Sports News

The brother of Chase Pistone has launched an emotional tribute simply days after the previous NASCAR driver’s death at 42.

Pistone died by suicide, Legends Racing confirmed in a detailed social media post that additionally shared the Suicide and Crisis helpline on the request of his household.

His brother Nick confirmed the information of his death on social media on Monday. “Well, my young brother and best friend is gone,” Nick posted on Facebook. “I’m broken-hearted and don’t know if I’ll ever get over this. I miss you Chase already and I hope you are in a better place. I love you and I miss you so much already.”

Now Pistone’s different brother Tom has issued his own personal tribute. “Lost my little brother Chase yesterday. It still does not seem real” he wrote on Facebook. “Chase was handsome, charming, very tech savvy, strong work ethic.

“He was a hard worker. He would put the hours in to make a racing program a winner. I would always tell him he had to learn to delegate and let other people do some work – but he was such a perfectionist he rarely did.

“We really spent a ton of time together for a few years taking Doug and Trent Barnes racing. 5 hours each way in the Toter We broke down every aspect of life and chased “hot donuts now” purple indicators within the Krispy Kreme app at midnight.

“Chase was a winner. His cars would win races and championships. He was very good at setting a race car up. He was also a great driver. Successful on the track as well. Everyone racing as part of the CPinc group became part of our racing family.”

Tom mentioned he had heard from people at CPinc and urged others to hug their households’ tighter. “I have heard from many over the past two days” added Tom. “We all cheered everyone’s successes. It was a really great time in our lives. I wish he knew everyone who reached out – it was pretty much everybody ever involved with CPinc.

“Losing him really screws up part of my life plan. I don’t have any kids but I knew my 14 year younger brother would be around to help me later in life. Hug your family and friends a little closer. Reach out to someone you think may need some help – mentally just as important.

“Everyone is going through something – some not handling it as well as others. The problem that might seem small and easy to overcome for yourself may seem insurmountable and impossible for others.”
