The president of Signal defended the messaging app’s security on Wednesday after prime Trump administration officers mistakenly included a journalist in an encrypted chatroom they used to debate a looming US assault on Yemen’s Houthis.

Signal’s Meredith Whittaker didn’t straight deal with the blunder, which Democratic lawmakers have mentioned was a breach of US national security.
