Their excellence extends far past the classroom: Our students have earned prime national rankings in debate, superior to championship competitions in choir and dance and even landed a gold medal on the Pan American School Chess Championships in Brazil this yr.

But whereas our students are pushing exhausting to the end line, the nation’s education system is slowing down.
