A motoring mechanic has revealed the three most reliable second-hand used vehicles on the highway right now with Ford, Volvo and Toyota popping out on high. The main professional praised the Ford Fiesta and Volvo V90 as offering high reliability for highway customers.

However, the high prize went to the Japanese model Toyota with the professional highlighting a number of fashions from the model that “keep on going”. Experts additionally identified how taxi drivers put “hundreds and thousands of miles” on Toyota’s and they never seem to break down. Speaking to YouTube channel MotorBodies, a mechanic quickly listed off his top three models in quick succession.

They said: “Being an accident repair centre we have cars in and all of the time. The best structural and reliable cars are these. Coming in at number three is the Ford Fiesta but not the 1 litre Eco Boost. Also known as Eco boom.

“Number two, it may not be pretty but the Volvo V90. This car is a tank.

“Number one, I genuinely have to say Toyota’s, like your Corolla’s, your Yaris’ and even your Prius’ which you see taxi drivers use hundreds and thousands of miles on, but they just keep on going. So these are the top three cars I recommend for reliability.”

Scotty added: “If it’s raining this front wheel drive is great in the rain and the snow. They’ve got a lot of room and they’ve really come up in quality on their interior, they are nice looking.

“They’re zippy enough but they are low on gas. This owner used to have a Toyota Yaris, a much smaller car, this gets better gas mileage.

“And in case you’re fearful about security, it is obtained airbags throughout the place, they are very protected vehicles. Plus they’re a smaller 4-door car a lot cheaper to insure.”
