“I let her start doing it, you know, and a couple of bills don’t get paid, so I’m like, okay, you’re out,” Busch added. Busch also admitted to changing financial advisors multiple times during that period and struggled to trust those around him as he navigated sudden wealth at a young age.

After parting ways with his mom for the job, he hired several more people before deciding to do the job himself with his wife, Samantha. Across stops with Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Richard Childress Racing, Busch has reportedly earned more than $243 million in salary and over $67 million in track earnings alone.

His biggest paydays came during his Joe Gibbs Racing peak, when Busch routinely earned annual salaries of $12 million to $17.8 million. Busch won Cup Series championships in 2015 and 2019 with 61 career Cup victories. However, his last Cup Series victory was in 2023 at the Enjoy Illinois 300.
