Kyle Busch makes feelings clear on brother Kurt – Sports News
Kurt Busch is being inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame – and brother Kyle couldn’t be more proud.

Ahead of his induction in Charlotte on Friday, Kyle Busch stated: “So Kurt, congratulations. What an honor. Man, what a tremendous career that you’ve had in NASCAR.
“Not only in the Cup Series but Xfinity Series winner, Truck Series winner, just all the many highlights that you’ve been able to put on for all the race fans out there.
“I feel like whether you were celebrating in champagne showers or facing adversity head-on, face-first, you were one that you could always look up to and model yourself after.
“So congratulations on this great honor, and look forward to seeing you inducted in the Hall of Fame.”
Kurt beforehand expressed his satisfaction at battling with Kyle over the 12 months. During an interview with NBC after a race in 2019, he stated: “It’s very special to race a sibling.
“I couldn’t be more proud of (Kyle) over the years on how many wins he’s accumulated. He crested over that 40-win mark a while back. Now he’s 50-plus wins, and the Xfinity wins, the truck wins, the truck ownership.
“His passion for motorsport is way beyond where I thought the coach potato he was when he was my little brother growing up, and I love to call him my little brother, but he gave me room on that outside. I think he gave me room where maybe he wouldn’t have given that little half a foot to somebody.”
After his own Hall of Fame induction was introduced, Kurt stated: “For me, as just a blue-collar kid out of Vegas, I never would have imagined this.
“We were a family where it was just a hobby. It’s like a hobby to race, you know. It was just fun to go to the track as father and son.
“There was no template. There wasn’t the ladder that you see a lot of the kids these days that have a system where it’s ‘we’re gonna do this, we’re gonna do this.’ A lot of mine was being in the right place at the right time, and the universe smiled down on me.”
