Kyle Busch no plans to copy Harvick decision on | Sports News

Kyle Busch has made it clear that his son, Brexton Busch, will keep stateside because the latter continues to his journey to being a skilled driver like his father. 

Brexton Busch not too long ago competed in opposition to his father at Millbridge Speedway in Salisbury, North Carolina, in late March, showcasing his abilities as a competent driver at a younger age. However, as Brexton Busch continues to develop as a driver, Kyle Busch has outlined a plan on how best to capitalize on the younger star’s talents.

The plan, as at present constructed, would not contain Brexton Busch heading to Europe to hone his abilities, which is what NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick did together with his son Keelan Harvick. Speaking to reporters during the weekend at Sonoma, Kyle Busch shared what he believes his son ought to do to attain the Cup Series sooner or later. 

“I don’t think so, no,” the 40-year-old instructed reporters when requested concerning the potential of seeing his son racing in Europe. “I think there’s enough stuff over here and enough training courses over here and things like that where I can be helpful as well to him that we can kind of go do some of that.

The elder Busch recalled how he was able to get valuable experience by learning from legendary driver Bob Bondurant in the past.

“I keep in mind Bondurant was a large piece of what I used to be in a position to do and having a lot of enjoyable having the ability to do this and getting used to every little thing. So, that is positively an option. There’s a lot of different, , race collection that you may get into and get entangled in so as to get these experiences,” he concluded.

And while Kyle Busch has made his decision, Kevin Harvick gave more insight as to why his son Keelan Harvick chose to follow a route that could see him be a Formula 1 driver in the future. “I live at the go-kart track and none of those kids want to race Indy cars; they all want to race F1 cars,” Harvick said, per Toby Christie.

“They all want to drive the Ferrari or the Red Bull. This is something that I’ve talked with Jim France and with people in our garage [about] is how do we make sure that all those kids whose dreams don’t come true, how do we create them to be gentlemen racers and put them in sports car racing and attract the great ones over to NASCAR.”

That said, Kyle Busch ruled out any possibility of his son competing in the ARCA Series as he continues to work his way to the Cup Series.

When asked if Brexton Busch will compete in ARCA, the NASCAR legend simply stated: “No, full waste of time.”

Still, the elder Busch shared how happy he was to see how his son is progressing in motorsports, despite having a busy schedule of his own. “I get pleasure from it. I feel it is enjoyable. It’s simply, whereas we had been out doing all of this, touring to these locations and I’m sitting there in a pit space and when he was simply working junior sprints, it was like, ‘Okay, I’m form of bored. I may do one thing too,'” he said.

“I would as properly be on the market honing my abilities or a minimum of studying this factor and seeing what it is all about. But so I’ve gotten into it and have run in every single place that we have been. I’ve a car for me, a car for Brexton. And so each time I get the possibility to get behind the wheel to go to the grime reveals, I’ll go get some.”
