In a latest episode of her ‘Certified Oversharer’ podcast, Samantha revealed that “Lennix is bound and determined to get a car,” and when requested if this meant she was enthusiastic about driving again, she replied, “I think she more just wants a pink car and a pink fire suit, but we’ll see.
“So, Kyle and I said for her birthday, we’re going to get her a Millbridge cadet kart because she already runs around in like a yard cart. So, we’re like, we might as well at least get her a little accustomed.”
However, Kyle and Samantha could have their work cut out for themselves in getting Lennix accustomed to this new kart, with the latter admitting that the teen is “wild,” noting how she “almost wrecked herself.”
“So, we’ve got like these little hills outside and we told her she could go up the hill and ride over the hill and come down in a certain spot where it’s really like gradual,” Samantha mentioned.
“She went straight up the steepest part and then cranked it to turn down and almost like the thing came up on two wheels and she somehow got it back down and we were like —- and then she wanted to do it again and we were like, ‘Absolutely [not].’
“Kyle’s like, ‘You will roll this thing.’ But like she doesn’t understand it. So she’s far too young to be doing it.”
“I think she sees like all the kids at the Shootout, and now that Audrey Larson has a fire suit, she’s like, ‘Mom. Did you see her car? Did you see her fire suit?’ I think she’s more excited about that versus actual racing,” Samantha recommended.
While far too early to inform, the Busch household may but have one other second-generation racer on their fingers. However, Kyle’s time to teach up younger Lennix will likely be restricted beginning in February, with the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium set to kick off a recent 12 months of Cup Series motion on Feb. 1, earlier than the primary points-scoring race on Feb. 15 with the legendary Daytona 500 – an occasion he has gained simply the as soon as back in 2017.
