Mamdani & Chi Ossé’s performances this week prove – Latest News
Mayor Zohran Mamdani and City Councilman Chi Ossé are within the fallacious area: As they proved this week, they belong in show business, not politics.
On Wednesday, the hard-left Ossé put on a number of acts — first as a protester of nonexistent “deed theft” to dam a lawful eviction, then by ignoring cops and resisting their makes an attempt to arrest him and eventually by heading to the hospital to examine for supposed accidents from the cops.
Mamdani immediately responded along with his own charade: “I have seen the concerning footage of Council Member Chi Ossé’s arrest earlier today and am in touch with [NYPD] Commissioner [Jessica] Tisch about the nature of the arrest,” the mayor mentioned.
And for good measure: “It is a pleasure to work alongside Council Member Ossé, a leader in his community and a partner in building a safer and more affordable New York City.”
Their aim was to defame cops and undermine law-and-order.
Mamdani was expressing “concern” about how the cops supposedly mistreated a lawbreaking lawmaker.

The proper factor would’ve been to deplore Ossé’s lawlessness and defend the cops, who tried for 90 minutes to get the councilman and his fellow protesters to not intrude with a lawful eviction.
Yet it took the mayor virtually a week to say something concerning the mindless killing of Queens teen Jaden Pierre.
He even skipped the vigil for the useless boy, prompting justified outrage from the boy’s grieving mother.
Far more important to Hizzoner was the “horror” of what occurred to Ossé (like Mamdani, a pampered youngster of privilege) after he defied officers making an attempt to stop him and his crew of thugs from blocking a gate and flailed about after they tried to restrain him.

Ossé is now making an attempt to assert police misconduct. What a laugher.
Still doubt Ossé’s stunt was simply performative? Then take into account that even state Attorney General Letitia James — who by no means met a leftist trigger she wouldn’t bend the law for — decided there was no “deed theft” in any respect in this case.
Meanwhile, the tragic homicide of a youngster was clearly low on the mayor’s checklist of “concerns.”
Since that day, he discovered time: to precise solidarity not with the household however with building employees who threatened to strike; to pose for a pic with former President Barack Obama; and to release a new sizzle reel congratulating himself for his “achievements.”
Ossé and Mamdani each clearly have expertise — in theatrics.
But given their vile values, New Yorkers could be higher off in the event that they’d steered clear of politics.
