Motorola is no stranger to flexible telephones. Its iconic Razr model has been offering customers a flippable clamshell design since 2004 with the most up-to-date Ultra model getting a fast Snapdragon Elite processor, larger cowl show, long battery life and fast charging. Now it appears Motorola needs an even larger slice of the versatile motion, with the company saying the release of a new gadget known as the Razr Fold.

As the identify suggests, this Android call maker will take aim squarely at Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 and the newest Pixel Fold from Google.

Just like these rivals, the Razr Fold opens like a guide to reveal a large 8.09-inch 2K inside show that appears more like a mini pill than a smartphone.

This big panel is complemented by a 6.56″ front screen that offers the familiarity of a traditional smartphone. That means you can use like a normal device but then open things up when you want a more expansive panel.

On the rear case is a triple lens camera that includes a main sensor, an ultrawide/macro lens, and a 3 times periscope telephoto lens that’s powered by a Sony sensor.

There are no further details on processor, battery life, charging or price, with Motorola saying more information will be revealed in the coming months.

We do know that it will be available in colours, including PANTONE Blackened Blue and PANTONE Lily White.

Explaining more, Motorola said: “Motorola immediately introduced the motorola razr fold, its first foldable smartphone, introducing a new type issue designed to adapt seamlessly to fashionable life.

“Built for productivity and entertainment, the device combines flexible layouts, intuitive interfaces, and on‑device AI features to deliver a versatile large‑screen experience in a compact form.”
