Meanwhile, McDowell was more vital of Hill’s attempt, believing the Richard Childress Racing driver was not within the correct place, as he initially believed was the case. “He was never going to get alongside me there,” the 40-year-old stated on the CW, per Racing News.

“And, he wasn’t alongside, he just turned me. It’s unfortunate there. I hate it for everybody at Kaulig Racing. … But, that’s racing. I was trying to do a good job.”

Hill would finish the race in fourth while McDowell was saddled with a DNF. That said, while the 16-car wreck was a scary incident, perhaps an even scarier sight was seen by all as Zilisch was celebrating his Mission 200 on top of his car.

As the teenage phenom was celebrating, it appeared as if he lost his footing, with his leg hooked to the inside of his car. The 19-year-old fell to the floor with a thud, lying motionless next to his car as medical personnel rushed to his aid before he was eventually brought to an ambulance, where he was taken to a hospital. 

After spending two hours in the medical facility, the young star released a statement on social media thanking his fans for their support while also giving an update on his status.

“Thank you, all people, for reaching out immediately. I’m out of the hospital and getting higher already. Thankfully, CT scans for my head are clear; I simply have a damaged collarbone. Thankful to all of the medics for his or her fast consideration, and I’m grateful it wasn’t worse,” he wrote.
