Socialist mayoral candidate Nithya Raman has introduced anti-Israel hatred to the race for mayor — a troubling signal that she intends to comply with the divisive path of Zohran Mamdani in New York.
As Page Six Hollywood reported, Raman advised left-wing extremist and podcaster Hasan Piker that she agreed with the lie that Israel had dedicated “genocide” in Gaza.
When Piker requested the town council member about whether or not she believed Israel had the proper to exist, she stated she did, however added that Israel is an “apartheid” state — one other lie that ignores the fundamental undeniable fact that Arabs and Jews have equal rights in Israel.

Piker is a radical socialist who has brazenly sided with the terrorist group Hamas in opposition to Israel. He is, sadly, the flavor-of-the-month within the Democratic Party, which is shifting in an more and more antisemitic direction.
Raman’s views are out of step with the bulk of Angelenos. And LA doesn’t need more of this hatred and division.
It’s not clear what Gaza has to do with LA, however the far left has been dragging the Middle East into nearly all the pieces these days.

Even James Carville, the “Rajun’ Cajun,” warned final week that anti-Israel “loudmouths” may price his social gathering elections.
It is price reminding Raman that LA is home to a massive neighborhood of Jews, together with Israelis. Many love and admire the State of Israel, as do many different patriotic Americans, who really feel a sense of kinship with a fellow democracy, and a connection to the land through which the Bible unfolded.

Many Jews have felt threatened in LA in recent times, particularly because the Hamas terror assault of Oct. 7, 2023.
Raman acknowledged that on the time: “Our district is home to beautiful Israeli and Jewish-American communities, and so many who have family in Israel. I cannot imagine the terror they are experiencing.”
