Nvidia, AMD to pay 15% of China chip sale revenues – Business News
Nvidia and AMD have agreed to give the US authorities 15% of their revenues from chip gross sales in China, beneath an association to acquire export licenses for the semiconductors, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
The income share applies to Nvidia’s H20 chips and AMD’s MI308 chips, the report stated, citing a US official, including that the Trump administration had but to decide how to use the money.
The chipmakers agreed to the association as a situation for acquiring export licenses for the Chinese market that had been granted final week, FT reported.

The US final month reversed an April ban on the sale of the H20 chip to China. The company had tailor-made the microprocessor specifically to the Chinese market to adjust to the Biden-era AI chip export controls.
