Earlier this month, King and Weiss met to debate the anchor’s future, as CBS News management has been trying to change her gig and halve her wage, The Post reported.  

On Tuesday, King praised how arduous she and her coworkers work and how proud they’re of the work they do.

Moments later, she returned to information stories about her, saying: “I read the s–t and I go, ‘I don’t even know where that’s coming from.’”

Seemingly referring to her contract negotiations, she added: “We’re right in the middle, we’ll see how it’s gonna work out.”

King then made meandering remarks that appeared to function a vote of confidence for Weiss and her strategy to show across the struggling information community.

“I like Bari, that you laid out a vision, you know?” the anchor stated. “For many people, they’ve never even heard your freakin’ voice. So it’s good for them to hear — to see you’re a real person, and this is what you want, and how you feel about us, and how you feel about this job.”

Earlier, Weiss stated King was “absolutely beloved” and that she sees her “long into the future” at CBS, earlier than jokingly saying that every one morning show questions ought to be directed to CBS News president Tom Cibrowski, who’s main the charge in this system’s revamp.
