Late-night suicide
The state of affairs ever since President Trump acquired on the scene has been that late-night comedians have deserted their major goal: to inform us jokes (“So long to a year so wrong,” Kirsten Fleming, Dec. 30).
What they take into account “jokes” are every day dosages of feedback telling us how morally superior they’re. The humor they offer us is like a fart; it smells dangerous and after a whereas, you don’t stick round. This is why their scores decline.

Brown U’s failures

Criticizing Gov. Hochul’s power coverage of renewable electrical energy sources and battery storage, The Post’s editorial states that New York “needs to push hard and fast to get reliable, natural-gas-burning electric plants built” (“Hochul’s Toxic Battery-Farm ‘Fix,’ ” Editorial, Dec. 29)
But natural gasoline is a a lot higher health hazard to New Yorkers than the use of renewables and battery storage. When burned, natural gases can release poisonous air pollution and cancer-causing chemical substances which will adversely have an effect on New Yorkers’ health long time period.

Wasteful spending
Kudos to Sen. Rand Paul for his oversight on our authorities’s wasteful spending (“Drunk Ferrets: Your Taxes at Work,” Editorial, Dec. 29).

The different concern is force-feeding alcohol to ferrets and cocaine to puppies, which also needs to be investigated as animal abuse.
