Trump’s bargain with Iran: Letters – Latest News
The Issue: Various concessions to the Iranian regime made in President Trump’s 14-point peace deal.
President Trump’s Iran deal seems to be an Obama redux (“For Tehran, with love,” June 17).
Even although Israel did the heavy lifting in taking out prime regime figures, the president dropped the ball in not following up and destroying the remainder of the drone and missile factories.
Without the regime change that the people thought could be delivered, nothing modifications. They have been sadly mistaken in believing Trump.

The Iranian people weren’t let down by the United States. The United States, alongside with Israel, did all the things that it set out to do: It took out the missile launch websites, Iran’s navy, its management and nuclear capabilities.
It’s now time for the Iranian people to rise up and take their nation back.

Iran is getting its frozen property back. Their management, the identical management our own president labeled “bad people” who “must go,” stays firmly in energy. No regime change. No give up.
We poured billions into this effort that might have reworked our own society. Instead, we spent it on a “war” that ended with Iran’s authorities untouched and its nuclear ambitions nonetheless alive.
If that is what victory seems like, then the bar has been set so low it’s underground.

It appears to me that The Post is utilizing inappropriate and false statements from unreliable sources to downgrade Trump’s efforts to pressure Iran to reverse its insurance policies and turn into a nation of peace.
I’m sure that Iran is not going to get any money or aid from sanctions till they show that they’re honest in following the ultimate agreements. If not, then, as Trump says, we are going to bomb the hell out of them.

Has Trump gone mushy? Has he succumbed to accepting an ephemeral deal with Iran, for the sake of “trumpeting” a “deal” earlier than the upcoming elections?
The president’s carried out a lot good, it’s unhappy to see him squander it for what seems to be a specious “deal” with our and Israel’s No. 1 one sworn enemy.

The settlement with Iran is the worst deal Trump may have made. Each level favors Iran, permitting it to buy time with additional negotiations.
The people of Iran are the true victims, and Israel ought to put together for a powerful street forward.

The Issue: Identity politics surrounding Karmelo Anthony’s 35-year jail sentence for homicide.
After listening to Rep Jasmine Crockett fueling racial tensions relating to the killing of Austin Metcalf, one wonders if some other African American leaders can communicate candidly about what occurred (“Stab-slay jury nailed it: judge,” June 16).
If one needs to heal race relations, an sincere appraisal of this mindless killing is a good place to start. Time to put away the race card.

People who posted edited images of themselves urinating on the grave of homicide sufferer Austin Metcalf usually are not trolls, they’re one thing a lot worse. They’re ignorant, misguided people whose minds have been so poisoned that they’ve misplaced the flexibility to guage any state of affairs, together with homicide, different than by a lens of racial politics. Apparently they really can’t assume anymore.
This has nothing to do with racial justice, and the shortcoming of people to see that is a failure of parenting, training and our society at giant. A life was ended and plenty of others are ruined, together with that of the killer, all of which is an unspeakable tragedy.
