The Issue: President Trump’s 20-point peace plan aiming to finish the battle in Gaza.
High reward to President Trump for getting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Arab nations on board along with his peace plan (“Final ‘peace’ on the board,” Sept. 30).
Now comes the onerous half: Getting Hamas to agree.
At the very least, the plan clearly defines solely two choices left for the terrorists: Either log off on it, or face whole destruction with Trump’s approval to let Israel end the job.
It could be a stretch to imagine a fast choice might be forthcoming, and possibly a larger stretch to imagine they are going to agree.
In any case, the ball is squarely in Hamas’ courtroom.

Suddenly, the entire world appears to be counting on a plan by Trump for peace in Gaza, which Netanyahu agrees with.
But how can we trust this Israeli tyrant to cooperate, comply with withdraw from Gaza and permit Palestinians to proceed residing underneath their own governance, when he shouts that he won’t tolerate a Palestinian state?

Michael Goodwin’s logical analysis of Trump’s peace plan enumerates all of the failures of the Arab plan, which in actuality is a means to weaken and destroy Israel (“Can’t force Israel to destroy itself,” Sept. 28).
Trump, a true good friend to Israel and Jews, actually needs peace within the Middle East and the world.
Unfortunately, even Trump is being deceived.
He criticizes “failed nation-building” efforts within the Middle East by the West.
Yet the president is repeating this identical “nation building” mistake in Gaza.
Since the Arabs won’t ever settle for Israel, Trump’s first proposal — to expel all of the terrorists in Gaza — was right.
If Israel accepts the new proposal, it’s going to solely carry self-destruction to Israel, regardless of having received a number of wars.

It was insightful of Trump to take inspiration from Tony Blair’s 21-point resolution.
Trump’s imaginative and prescient for Middle East peace has been steadfast.
I imagine that’s the reason many neighboring states are supportive and prepared to take part.
We can solely hope that an eventual consequence additionally contains having Saudi Arabia and Iran as members of the Abraham Accord.

The Issue: An assault on a Michigan Latter-day Saints church that left eight injured and a minimum of 4 lifeless.
The mushrooming acts of violence on this nation appear to be linked to an onslaught of violent rhetoric (“Gunman’s church hellfire,” Sept. 29).
The motive for the newest madness at a Mormon church remains to be unclear.
But when Democrats keep placing poison on social media, festering violent ideas can whip up into motion.
As quickly as President Trump heard about what occurred on Sunday during that church service, he was fast to post on social media: “This epidemic of violence in our country must end, immediately!”
Meanwhile, Democrats are seemingly nonetheless ready for additional instructions on how to spin all of it.
This epidemic received’t be addressed till Democrats understand they’ve helped feed the violence.
This shouldn’t be considered as a partisan concern.

Across our great nation, many church buildings have been attacked, and a few people have died by weapons.
Now, one of the parishes I belong to has put in cameras to guard the church and its members.
I applaud these actions, but it surely’s unhappy that it has come to this.
My heartfelt prayers exit to the family members, associates and neighbors in Michigan who have been affected by the horrible actions of an evil-doer.
