Napolitano now admits she is having second ideas.

But she argued: “Historically, standardized tests have been a weapon against people of color, and that reality cannot suddenly cease to exist.” She added that standardized checks have been “a white supremacist tool to segregate people of color from public education.”

Clearly, somebody failed AP US History.

Standardized checks will not be good. But with out them, universities should depend on murkier standards.

High faculty grades, for instance, are unreliable in an period of runaway grade inflation.

An inflated GPA spells doom for a pupil who will wrestle in school.

Bring back the SAT — and common sense to greater schooling.
