X CEO Linda Yaccarino quits just two years after – Business News
X CEO Linda Yaccarino mentioned Wednesday she is stepping down from her post after two years spearheading a difficult overhaul at Elon Musk’s social media website.
“After two incredible years, I’ve decided to step down as CEO of X,” Yaccarino wrote in an X post.

“When @elonmusk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company,” she added. “I’m immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, turning the company around, and transforming X into the Everything App.”
Yaccarino, a former NBCUniversal promoting govt, didn’t element the explanations for her exit.
The departure was introduced just hours after X was compelled to disable textual content responses from its “Grok” AI chatbot after it started referring to itself as “MechaHitler” and espousing pro-Nazi views.
One source close to the state of affairs advised The Post that Yaccarino’s exit was within the works for over a week and was not associated to the Grok meltdown.
“She got advertisers back and made it profitable again,” the source mentioned. “Felt it was time to move on.”
