Outside of technology developed by Israeli engineers and scientists, it’s a lot simpler to boycott gadgets produced in Israel than China (“Yale freshmen: China yay, Israel nay!,” Sept. 16).
The Chinese Communist Party additionally reveals higher control over the media than Israel does, so it’s tougher to study of its oppressive acts.

NY’s money grab
Comptroller Tom DiNapoli not too long ago introduced that New York has collected $1.3 billion in tax income from online sports activities betting in 2026 (“NY’s bet on sports wagering,” Sept. 16).
Yet the industry’s seen $8.3 billion in gross income because it was legalized in 2022; with all this newfound wealth, shouldn’t New York’s taxes lower?
Our state legislators in Albany solely know how to do one factor: spend. If I represented my accounting purchasers the way in which they run the state funds, I’d be sued for malpractice.

Clancy holdout
A giant deal is being revamped the holdout juror towards despicable assassin Lindsay Clancy being a black male (“Holdout juror speaks,” Sept 15).
Who cares what race and gender the one sane juror was? What she did was deliberate and methodical. She bought her husband out of the way in which by sending him on an errand, then she slowly strangled these infants. She deserves the death penalty.

Failing our children
More must be performed to make the public conscious of academics unions’ political energy and how college students proceed to be dumbed-down by their selfishness (“Randi vs. Public Schools,” Editorial, Sept. 17).
Perhaps we should always rid the federal government of politicians whose campaigns are financially supported by academics unions. Nothing else has labored.

Don’s conspiracy
President Trump is claiming the attempt on his life by Thomas Crooks was a “Democratic plot” to take away him from the 2024 presidential marketing campaign and accused former FBI Director Christopher Wray of complicity within the matter (“Trump: Butler a Dem plot,” Sept. 16).
Apparently Trump has forgotten that Wray is a staunch conservative and Crooks was a registered Republican.
Why ought to Crooks have been on the radar of the FBI? He was a nonentity with no legal report who had by no means threatened Trump nor every other politician. His motives stay unknown.
This is clearly yet one more effort by Trump to smear Democrats earlier than the November elections.

CBS rankings down
The low rankings for the season opening of CBS News’ “60 Minutes” had nothing to do with the NFL lead-in (“ ’Sickly’ minutes,” Sept. 15).
The rankings have been low as a result of the once-loyal viewers grew sick of listening to the woke agenda and seeing these so-called “journalists” assault anybody who doesn’t kneel to that agenda. Preaching to viewers can solely go to date.
They did it to themselves with their lies and half-truths; now, CBS’s new leaders should deal with the results.
