Citigroup stated Thursday it had accredited $42 million for CEO Jane Fraser’s complete compensation for 2025, up almost 22% from a 12 months earlier.
Investors have cheered Fraser’s efforts to streamline management, cut jobs and sell companies, boosting the stock 65.8% final 12 months. It outperformed friends and an index monitoring bank shares by a large margin.

In a submitting explaining the compensation, Citigroup highlighted report revenues throughout its core companies, regulatory progress, and comparable pay for CEOs at comparable financial establishments.
The compensation contains $1.5 million of base wage, $6.075 million in money incentive and the remaining in deferred incentives, the bank stated on Thursday. Fraser had obtained $34.5 million in complete compensation in 2024.
Reuters reported final week that Citigroup executives have gotten more optimistic that they are going to be ready to end compliance work on main regulatory punishments.
The lifting of the consent orders could be a monumental shift and allow Citigroup to sharpen its give attention to revenue growth after six years of intensive compliance work involving hundreds of workers.
