Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek both withdrew from the Dubai Tennis Championships. 

The two stars lately got here off disappointing outings on the Australian Open, with neither advancing to the ultimate. Now, it seems both Swiatek and Sabalenka might be minding their schedules as they put together for the remainder of the 12 months. 

The information comes after Swiatek revealed to reporters after her Australian Open loss that she can be taking time out of her schedule to give attention to engaged on her craft.

“I’m really sorry I have to withdraw from Dubai. I have such a special connection with the tournament, the fans and the city,” Sabalenka’s statement began, per Reem Abulleil. “Unfortunately, I am not feeling 100 percent. But I hope to be back next year and wish the tournament a great event.”

In the identical vein, Swiatek added: “I am sorry to announce that I will not be playing Dubai this year due to a change of schedule. I hope I will come back next year to experience the great tournament. See you guys in Indian Wells.”

For Swiatek, the star had noted that she would miss specific events to work on her form after falling to Elena Rybakina 7-5 6-1 in the Australian Open quarterfinals. Speaking to reporters after her loss, the Polish sensation made it clear that she would need to tweak her technique in order to continue at a high level. 

“There are some stuff on the serve that I wish to change, and I already modified that within the pre-season, however then, you understand, matches come, and you do not have that a lot time to, like, take into consideration this. You do not wish to take into consideration these type of particulars whenever you play,” she said after her loss.

For Sabalenka, her decision comes on the heels of her loss to Rybakina in the Australian Open final, in which she told reporters that she was very emotional after the stunning defeat. “I used to be laughing and crying.
