A leading decluttering expert is sharing indispensable tips for cruise-goers to keep their cabins nice and tidy while at sea. 

Those setting sail on the open waters can easily lose track of their belongings amidst the excitement of multiple destination stops.

Decluttering whiz Nicole Lewis divulged four essential items travelers should not leave home without, one being a highlighter pen, reports Daily Express UK.

Cruisers receive a packed itinerary from most cruise lines each day. Armed with a highlighter pen, travelers can conveniently spotlight events of interest, ensuring they don’t miss out on favored activities.

Lewis also advised tourists preparing to board their cruise ship to pack an over-the-door organiser, which typically has multiple pockets for storing small items.

While useful for accessories like glasses, ties, and costume jewelry, the influencer suggested placing one in the cabin’s bathroom for toiletries.

The decluttering expert said recommended: “Hang it on the shower door to keep all your lotions and potions tidy.”

Additionally, passengers were advised to bring laundry sheets on their sea holiday.

Although most cruise ships offer laundry services, which may be staffed or self-service, these often come at a cost and can add up quickly on longer trips.
