Some Fitbit users are expressing frustration with the fitness tracking technology and are considering a change to different manufacturers.

A dissatisfied consumer vented on the Fitbit subreddit web page about adjustments to the health app following Google’s 2019 acquisition for a staggering $2.1 billion.

In a post titled “Bye!” the consumer expressed their disappointment with Fitbit: “Been with them since 2016, but I am done. Ever since Google got into the mix, its been crap.

“Not to point out you have got to go on a scavenger hunt to get something accomplished,” they added. “The lab notifications have been the final straw. I’ve accomplished all the pieces and it will not stop. So goodbye. I’m choosing up my Galaxy Watch right this moment!”.

The early July post has attracted hundreds of likes and comments, with Fitbit users sharing their grievances about unwanted changes and weighing the pros and cons of competing health tracking watches.

One user cited the ease of staying with what’s familiar as a reason to avoid switching: “Though issues have gone down the tubes, I’m nonetheless hanging in with my Charge 5 as a result of I do not need the effort of shifting to the Apple Watch or Garmin ecosystem,” they commented.
