Meanwhile, Gaulding made a return to the garage this weekend when he was noticed alongside Zane Smith, who completed sixth at Daytona. The 26-year-old, who drives for Front Row Motorsports, is married to Gaulding’s sister, McCall Gaulding, with the pair having tied the knot back in January 2024.
On Instagram, Gaulding posted a collection of pictures from Daytona, the primary one of which was with Smith. He captioned the post: “Daytona 500 with the best people! Loved every second being there seeing old friends and most importantly supporting our main man @zanesmith. He almost pulled off the ultimate come back! Proud of you brother!
He continued: “Wanted to additionally say how great it was to see a lot of acquainted faces and I positively felt the love from everybody.
“God blessed me with some cool people in my life and I can’t even explain the emotions I had on the pit box side by side with my sister @mccallkelli watching her man take the lead at the great American race! Memories like these will last a lifetime! There’s nothing like the Daytona 500.”
Gaulding, a part-time Xfinity Series driver, was arrested back in April 2024, with Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office web site stating they detailed him for a “misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.”
Following the arrest, NASCAR suspended Gaudling indefinitely. However, come July 2024, Gaulding was cleared of the misdemeanor.
He final raced back in 2023 for SS-Green Light Racing in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series.
