Another screenshot reveals a message purportedly from Hilton that said: “This email is in regards to the reservation you made with the Hampton Inn Lakeville property.”
“We have noticed an influx of GOV reservations made today that have been for DHS, and we are not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at our property. If you are with DHS or immigration, let us know as we will have to cancel your reservation,” the e-mail learn.
“Please pass on this info to your coworkers that we are not allowing any immigration agents to house on our property.”
A Hilton rep instructed CNBC that the hotel in query was “independently owned and operated” and that “these actions were not reflective of Hilton values.”

“We have been in direct contact with the hotel, and they have apologized for the actions of their team, which was not in keeping with their policies,” the Hilton spokesperson mentioned.

Hampton Inn Lakeville Minneapolis will not be owned by Hilton company. It is a franchise property that’s independently owned and operated beneath the Hampton by Hilton model.

Hilton gives the model and reservation system on the inn and units the requirements, however day-to-day operations and possession selections are dealt with by Everpeak Hospitality and its possession group.
An Everspeak rep instructed CNBC: “Everpeak Hospitality has moved swiftly to address this matter as it was inconsistent with our policy of being a welcoming place for all.”

We do not discriminate against any individuals or agencies and apologize to those impacted,” the spokesperson added. “We are committed to welcoming all guests and operating in accordance with brand standards, applicable laws, and our role as a professional hospitality provider.”

In September 2020, during the primary Trump administration, Hilton mentioned it opposed utilizing its resorts to detain migrants, together with minors.
