Motoring journalist Mat Watson, talking on the launch of his new ebook ‘AUTOBiography: An A-Z Expose of Cars’, confused that Chinese electric car manufacturers had been catering to exactly what shoppers needed.

Mat factors out that Jaecoo has been a standout of 2025 with spectacular gross sales figures for a debut product. In October, Jaecoo gross sales exceeded the Nissan Qashqai, one of the preferred automobiles within the UK, with 2,611 examples registered.

Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) information reveals that over 21,000 Jaecoo fashions have now hit the street since January 2025. Meanwhile, BYD registered practically seven occasions more new automobiles than Tesla in October, with 3,499 gross sales in comparison with simply 511 for the American giant.
