A California-born diner chain is getting a lot much less magnifique.
Mimi’s Cafe — the French-inspired informal eating chain that launched close to Disneyland almost 5 many years in the past — has now shed 106 eating places since altering palms in 2013, together with a string of closures in its home state.

With the Folsom closure, Mimi’s Cafe is down to simply 39 areas throughout 10 states — a shadow of its former empire.
The retreat is especially stark in Northern California. The area, reportedly as soon as a stronghold for the chain, is now down to simply a single location in Elk Grove, following closures in Arden Arcade, Roseville, and South Natomas.

The fire sale contains items of the acquainted French-bistro-inspired eating room, from sales space sections measuring up to 36 ft long and curved sales space stations to French bistro chairs, strong wooden and drop leaf eating tables, vintage cast-iron and stone-top pub tables, wrought-iron outside benches, mirrors and chalkboards.
The complete kitchen is being cleared out, too. Items up for public sale embody flat-top grills and broilers, an eight-burner vary with twin ovens, a walk-in cooler and freezer, business reach-in fridges, a Koolaire ice maker, and more.
For generations of diners, Mimi’s turned recognized for all-day breakfasts, recent baked muffins and croissants. Despite the wave of closures, Mimi’s nonetheless has 24 areas in California.
