Users of Reddit and X encountered widespread service disruptions Thursday afternoon — with each platforms experiencing intermittent outages, according to knowledge from Downdetector.
Reports of points started spiking round 3 p.m. ET as hundreds of users flooded Downdetector, a web site that tracks real-time issues and outages throughout web sites and companies.
At the height, more than 30,000 users reported points accessing Reddit, whereas over 15,000 flagged issues with X.

On Reddit, users cited issues loading posts, logging in and accessing subreddits whereas X users mentioned they have been having points with timeline loading, posting and direct messaging.
The trigger of the outages stays unclear.
