Sydney Sweeney tantrum is all about the left’s – Latest News
Pretty a lot everybody wears blue denims in fashionable America. Jeans have gone from workwear to high fashion over the final 150-plus years. Dress them up, gown them down . . . they’re as versatile as American tradition.
Perhaps they’re so enduring as a result of everybody can put on them. Fat or skinny, tall or short, curvy to curve-less and the whole lot in between — denims are the fashion of unity.
But after we’re shopping for a pair, we’re not considering any of that.
We wish to suppose about what we may appear to be sporting them, or who may be interested in us whereas we’re sporting them.
I’m talking, of course, about the energy of promoting, and final week the newest advert for American Eagle denims brought about excessive misery amongst the Very Online crowd.
It’s a fairly primary advert: Current Hollywood “It Girl” Sydney Sweeney poses provocatively subsequent to a basic Mustang, sporting basic denims and a basic white shirt.
She sexily fiddles with the engine, sexily closes the hood, then drives away in her horny car whereas sporting her horny denims.
The narrator tells us, “Sydney Sweeney has great genes.” (Genes/denims, get it?)
The outrage appears two-fold.
First, the common suspects are screaming accusations of racism at the concept of a white, blond, blue-eyed starlet declaring the superiority of her genes.
Shades of eugenics, based on the congregants of the Church of the Perpetually Offended.
To a lesser extent, however nonetheless very apparent to these of us who’ve been observing the tradition wars of the final 30 years, the left appears upset at the very notion of an enticing younger girl getting used to sell clothes.
American Eagle’s deliberate bucking of the “body positive” trend thrust upon us by the human assets cult totally infuriates sure unstable members of our eclectic society.
Some people blame all their failures in life on the indisputable fact that another person was smarter, cuter or richer. It’s envy, of course, and it undergirds each ridiculous grievance about the new American Eagle marketing campaign.
But I consider the overheated uproar over Sweeney’s advert is about more than simply racism or envy.
It’s about Donald Trump — or more exactly, about the sharp proper flip the American people took final November.
We are witnessing the determined tantrums of a progressive left that is struggling to just accept the verdict of the citizens.

Their drawback with Sweeney is the similar drawback now shared by the total Democratic advanced — they’re offended they had been mistaken.

We don’t wish to buy our denims from people who appear to be us; we wish to buy our denims from people who appear to be our fantasy of us.
American males like taking a look at sizzling, busty girls, and American girls like trying sizzling in the eyes of American males.
That is a completely typical angle, and one which has been used with great success since the daybreak of company promoting.
Of course the left needed to body their rage in phrases of racism and Nazis. After their Tesla terrorism tirade, they’ve virtually made the swastika their official image.
But what actually offends them is the regular want of regular Americans for regular issues.
Blue denims, stunning girls, fast vehicles. We keep it easy on this half of the world, and the progressive left doesn’t like easy, as evidenced by their 89-and-counting genders.
The Sydney Sweeney advert marketing campaign completely embodies how Trump’s Golden Age is permeating each side of American society.
And it’s acquired the progressive left — bereft of concepts, methods and attention-grabbing spokespersons — seething.
Long stay blue denims and sweetness. America is back.
