The Issue: USA males’s hockey successful gold for the primary time since 1980 following the ladies’s current win.

Your ladies performed with the relentless construction and poise that defines champions and your males answered each push with one other gear. But what struck me most was the second after the lads’s sport, when gamers handed the late Johnny Gaudreau’s jersey round.
In a sport constructed on pace, these males slowed down to recollect what issues.
We Canadians take pleasure in calling this our sport. The reality is that hockey belongs to anybody who performs it with coronary heart. This time, that was you.

Bettman and others inform us combating and gamers who solely beat others up are endemic to the game. But — whereas Olympic hockey has the occasional boarding, high elbows and, as hero Jack Hughes can attest to, tooth knocked out — gloves usually are not dropped and combating is strictly prohibited.
