UCLA women are making sports fun again – Latest News

Remember the well-known previous line from ABC’s “Wide World of Sports”?

“The thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat.”

Add to that the delight of efficiency.

From Jordan Chiles’ gymnastic dynamism to basketball stars that may dance in addition to hoop, UCLA athletes are making sports fun again.

These are women who command their fields, depart politics on the sidelines, and delight us with their love of craft and efficiency chops.

For followers, this mix is magic.

This week, to cap off a 28-1 common season, three UCLA basketball stars induced a sensation by busting strikes with the Bruin dance staff at halftime of the boys’s basketball sport in opposition to Nebraska.

When Charlisse Leger-Walker, Lauren Betts and Gabriela Jaquez confirmed off choreography they’d realized in simply a day, it was spunky and spirited and sheer, easy fun.

Meanwhile, UCLA’s star-studded gymnastics squad, among the many best within the nation, have gone 9-0 this season, led by Olympians and rising stars.

The staff is best identified for the viral perfect-10 flooring routines of Jordan Chiles, who has banished the boring tumbling run in favor of choreography exuding fun, ingenuity, and undiluted ardour.

These are athletes who encourage, and whom we will admire.

At a time when many stars select to lecture the nation on politics, the UCLA women have stayed centered on sport, efficiency, and love of craft.

Sports must be concerning the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, and the delight of efficiency.
