You’ll get a bill for others’ car repairs – Latest News
How very California.
Here on the left edge of America, governors, legislators and bureaucrats like to impose their partisan Utopia on the remaining of us –– at our own expense, of course.
This time it’s taxpayer subsidies for personal EV repairs.
How ludicrous.
Under a state program rolled out March 30, some EV house owners can have taxpayers cowl up to $7,500 in EV battery or fuel-cell restore prices.
Or if the battery’s past restore, taxpayers will hand over $10K towards the acquisition of a new, personal EV.

What a racket.
If state officers discover you deserving (i.e., you’re a low-income EV proprietor), congratulations.
If they don’t … put together to pay up.

And it’s (but) one other instance of the disconnect between the state’s ruling class and actuality.
First: California motorists don’t need to be advised what to drive –– or made to pay the payments of those that made “enlightened,” state-approved selections.
Second: We ought to all have the ability to agree that motorists (yes, even these with low incomes) ought to cowl their own car-repair payments.
It’s primary personal accountability. It’s additionally unsuitable to saddle taxpayers with different people’s personal prices.

And third: A state working a finances with billions in annual purple ink ought to finish the frivolous spending.
Can anybody declare, with sincerity, that subsidizing personal car repairs is among the many Top 100 –– and even 500 –– priorities for state spending?
This program is a traditional case of California’s partisan, Utopian, virtue-signaling lunacy.
As per the standard association:
The governor, legislators, and regulators have their heads within the clouds and their arms in our pockets.
Enough already.
