A Luigi Mangione musical and more: Letters – Latest News
Musical muck
I’m disgusted and sickened by the new musical concerning the cowardly assassin, Luigi Mangione, coming to New York City this summer season (“Staging Villain ‘Luigi,’ ” March 4).
The people who’ve created this trash are as wicked and unhinged as Mangione. He’s a gutless, cowardly, back-shooter who killed a first rate human being. Mangione shouldn’t be celebrated however denounced and condemned for his killing of Brian Thompson.
I’ll boycott this trash and I ask all clever people to do the identical.

Principal Shanesha White Bailey must be fired instantly for eradicating a makeshift shelter for stray cats during New York’s huge snowstorms. (“She’s no principal of cats,” March 1).
Apart from her merciless act of permitting aged cats to be buried in snow, she despatched a message to impressionable younger minds that callousness and cruelty to others is appropriate, which is the very last thing college students must be taught.

Repay NY drivers
As a New York driver, I perceive the town’s need to handle congestion and improve transportation, however congestion pricing at the moment sends most of the income to the MTA despite the fact that drivers are paying the charge (“Judge upholds conge$tion,” March 4).
Commuters in New York use roads that taxis, supply drivers, emergency autos and even metropolis buses depend on every single day. After winter storms, potholes and broken streets remind drivers that street infrastructure is getting old too.
If drivers are contributing congestion charges, it’s solely truthful that a portion of the income even be invested within the roads these drivers rely upon.

Anti-US training
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is true that taxpayers are drained of funding tuitions at woke colleges indoctrinating the navy (“Military ban on colleges,” March 2).
I’m a US Navy veteran and I’ve seen for many years the destruction these colleges have prompted. Hegseth is 100% proper when he mentioned “for decades, the Ivy League and similar institutions have gorged themselves on a trust fund of American taxpayer dollars only to become factories of anti-American resentment and military disdain.”

Could that normal apply to judges and district attorneys in different states? In Virginia, a decide and DA allowed a felony with 30 prior arrests to stroll free. He then went on to homicide a mom whereas that decide and DA went home and slept properly of their beds.
This has to finish. Judges, district attorneys, governors and politicians who defend these criminals ought to all be held accountable identical to that father.

Sedaka’s skills
Talents like singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka don’t come round every single day (“Sedaka led uptempo life,” Cindy Adams, March 2).
Not solely was Sedaka gifted, he was a real mensch. His legacy consists of his many hit songs. And no doubt, he shall be sorely missed.
