As even economy seats on budget airlines gradually become more expensive, the idea of enjoying a glass of champagne while jetting off to your holiday destination is increasingly becoming a luxury.

However, one major airline now offers an incredibly affordable upgrade, boasting some impressive perks for just $17 per person.

All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan‘s largest airline, provides flights to 95 airports, including 50 Japanese destinations, as well as locations in Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania, reports Daily Express UK. 

When flying economy or premium economy, across select destinations, the passengers can purchase a three-course meal for $17. 

This upgrade is available on all ANA-operated flights departing from Tokyo International Airport or Narita (also known as Tokyo-Narita International Airport).

For those eager to experience premium dining in the sky, eligible customers can signal their upgrade wishes while locking in their travel plans on ANA’s official online platform.

This step can be completed anytime from the moment the ticket is secured up until 24 hours before the slated flight time.

However, travelers should take heed of certain restrictions: Upgrades are off the table for journeys where meal service isn’t part of the package.

In instances where only light refreshments are presented, requests for an elevated dining experience will go unheeded.
